I have a Samsung watch Bluetooth/4g... Does anyone know why randomly it goes to standalone? It seems like when it goes to that nothing works and switches to the watch phone number

I have the note 9
This should definitely not be happening. I honestly don't think I've had a single Bluetooth drop out in the 2 months or so that I've owned the watch. (I have the Note 9, too).

I think you should try some resets and see if it's any better. If it isn't, then either your Note 9 is faulty (extremely unlikely) or your watch is.

The simplest reset which really just clears the cache is to press and hold the home (bottom) button on the watch and keep it held until you see 'rebooting'.
If no joy, I would try re-pairing the watch and phone. If still no good, back up your data using the Wear app and then factory reset the device. If you are backed up, it's not that big a deal, you can restore everything from the app.

And if all that fails, I would ask for a replacement watch. It's no good to you if it keeps losing BT connection while your phone is with you.

Ok, good luck. The switching to 4G stuff, I don't know about as I don't have the LTE model. Might be worth you reaching out to the LTE owners on here to see how their's works.

I think I have but nobody seems to respond..... you have been basically the only one responding to my posts lol

Maybe start a new thread with a title something like, 'advice requested from LTE owners' and see how you go...

I have the LTE version and when I am out of range from my phone, also a Note 9, the Bluetooth disconnects but the rest of the functions still work. When your Bluetooth disconnects, can you make calls from your watch?

Basically when I go out of Bluetooth range it doesn't switch over to 4g that quick so when I am in the middle of that I can't do anything

Your 4g should be on all the time. Give me an example of what you cannot do when the Bluetooth disconnects.

I work for ups so I keep the phone in the truck but when I make leave the truck it goes out of Bluetooth and then I guess it switches into 4g but it doesn't seeing fast so whatever I was doing it drops everything.... Phone calls... Text messaging.... No notifications. Do I have this set up right? What I do now is I just keep it in 4g all the time but obviously the battery goes a lot quicker when it's in 4g than Bluetooth

Go to settings on the watch, about watch, software, software version.
Software version

If that doesn't work try a full reset also.. They will ask if you have done one before any exchange.. Use Galaxy app to back up your software.. Then press and hold like above but when you see booting rapidly press the power button until you see the boot menu. Select the reset option (I forget if it actually says reset but it's easy to detetmine) using the top buttin.. Then press and hold the power button until it shuts off.. It should reboot and say resetting.. It can be tricky to get the timing right on the final power button press. I have had to try it three times in the past to finally get it.. It will be factory new then.. When you Connie t to the galaxy app again it will probably restore your account but as long as you backed up it you can do it manually as well.
