Standalone

Good news guys it looks like they might have fixed the problem

So was the update just an update to the Gear app or the watch itself?

After coming back out here I saw you all posting about an update. I did have a Gear app update but no watch update. That said, I disconnected from Bluetooth to see if it said standalone or remotely connected and it said remotely connected.

Thanks for the easy tip arunma :-)

Any time!

I don't believe any update on our end was responsible for fixing the issue. A lot of people reported this happening around the time the Wearable app was updated. But for whatever reason (carrier-related?), my app only updated a couple days after the remote connection capability died. I believe this was a server-side issue on Samsung's end, which is why one day we couldn't get a remote connection, and a few days later it just started working again.

Yup agreed

I had two phone numbers the phone and the watch the way it was meant to operate. Now it's just call forwarding everything from the phone to the watch and if someone calls the phone and I'm on it it will ring thru to the watch and that's with bluetooth off, if I receive a call on either I can't call out on the other, I can call the phone from the watch but can not call the watch from the phone. A glitch is what Tmobile wants you to think This is a standalone watch it doesn't need a phone for it to work, only reason you need the phone is to use the app to set up apps and such. Send your phone a text send my location from your watch to your phone and it just repeats it on your watch that sucks. I can't even loan the watch or phone to a friend while exploring because the phone won't call the watch, there was a huge advantage to the two numbers and while your phone can send your watch notifications that you received a phone call on the phone number somebody figured two numbers wasn't cost effective for the corporations.
