startin to get a little bit frustrated

Unjustified statement as I have let the phone try to do its job and it hasn't.

Are you using the stock keyboard or an add on?

droid800 is right. The phone is not going to come from the factory with a bunch of misspelled words in its system. They have to be put there, because i can assure you the phone definitely knows how to spell things right. Just like any other computer.

So your telling me if I don't correct a word it saves the mis spelled word? I find that hard to believe as it doesn't then offer this mis spelled word as an option for auto corrects.

I have used the word "mis" many a time which is not a correct spelling and it doesn't save that.

Even if this were true the fact remains that there is still a bug that causes the phone to lag when typing in landscape. I like my phones to stay stock and not fill them with apps.

That's not the phone, its you. If you allowed it to keep the incorrect word, it will have saved that incorrect spelling to your dictionary.

The phone just doesn't automatically save words you don't correct in the dictionary. It's a glitch and I have the same issue. If you type a misspelled word, chose the correction it will insert the correct word, then once you start typing, or hit post/send it will revert back to the misspelled word. Happens a lot on google+

That's not correct. EVERY time you fail to correct a word when there is a correction available, it will save the incorrect version. That is how any auto correct feature on any platform works.

It is true. Its been like that since the beginning of android and the iPhone.

The lag has already been addressed and you ignored the advice.

That is false. I tend to type with a lot of slang, and the same incorrect spellings are recognized every time. The only time it will stop tagging it as incorrect is when I specifically tell it to add my personalized spelling into the dictionary. Since I don't wish to add my slang/acronyms/short-hand spelling into the dictionary, I see the same underlined notifications with the same words every time.

You're talking about spell check, we're talking about autocorrect.

ouch, called out. You shouldn't be using "mis" as a word by itself anyway. Its a prefix that's used with other words.

Reading back through the thread, including the OP, the thread is talking about spell check. The OP even specifically uses the term "spell check", and they're talking about the underlined word being tapped, selecting the right word, but after submitting the original misspelled words still get submitted.

Read through again. ;)

Also my posts regarding the body glove was a great case and added to the phone. Not a bad post.
