Starting to get away from the stylus

Just this week, to cut back on the constant need to utilize my phone and have it not be so needed in my life, I started utilizing a notebook (ie. pen and paper) for my day-to-day at work.

So instead of trying to write notes in OneNote from my Note 8, whether work, diary, or otherwise (and having it crash), I have my pad of paper.

Then, to collect my thoughts/notes digitally, I type it all out (cuz I can type faster normally than I can write) and scan to OneNote using the badge part of the app on my phone.

I actually appreciate the process and I still have the stylus when I need it for whatever situation but trying to get away from the reliance on it.

Invest in post it notes. Write everything down on a post it note. You can easily sort, re-order, etc. as you wish.

You may want to take a look at stamps and envelopes also. Then you can drop your post it notes in and get rid of email and texting.
:D

My stylus is for Draw Something, Precision RDP connections and Pub Notes.

In a meeting I have a Rocketbook. Stylus and phone will never be as comfortable as pen and paper but I like that the rocketboock can auto send to multiple locations and OneNote can OCR.

It's better than a photo of a notepad as it auto aligns properly despite slight angle and orienation issues (flashes green when good enough). It can sent to up to 6 predefined locations based on what is selected at the bottom of the page.

I never used my stylus as a replacement for a pen but since the Nokia N900 have never been without one (Note1 being the next phone)

Being on a call at 8PM locked outside my flat and being asked "Have you got a pen" on my Note1 and popping out the stylus and having a not pop up on call had me hooked and they have only improved those features since.

I spent 6 months doing all my texts by handwriting recognition to re-learn how to write. I am now back to typing but it did teach me to write legibly again.

Nokia N900 to Note 2 to Note 8.
It's all about the pen.
I use handwriting recognition all the time.

I can't stand taking notes or anything on an electronic device. Pen and paper is easier faster and just plain better. Only think I use a stylus for is photo editing. It's great for when I need to note something on a picture like part numbers or something.

I use the S pen to take down a lot of quick notes that I wouldn't otherwise record. The screen off memo is very useful.

Also great for highlighting areas of pictures or screenshots.
