Starting to miss my BLACKBERRY-- anyone in the same boat?

The keyboard on my storm 1 was much better than the soft keyboard on my Moto Droid. But! Everything else more than 100000 times makes up for the fact that the keyboard is not that good on the Droid.

With that, I've never once wanted to go back to my Black Berry Storm.

The only BB I've had was an 8900 and I don't miss a single thing from it. It was great as a phone but it sucked for what I wanted in a smartphone (internet & multimedia).

Absolutely not. I just rooted and ROM'ed and am loving it. Just sent out a bunch of texts using the voice recognition, that was awesome. Was surfing the web too, fantastic. Oh, I got a bunch of emails too, that worked just fine.

Just about the only thing I miss is auto-text -- that was sweet. But, if I look hard enough, I'm sure there's an app for that.

Going back to bb? It's hard to be impressed with ground beef once you've had sirloin.

i had the storm 1 and 2. i might be crazy but i miss the click screan. other than that the droid got everything i need.

I do think the click screen is good on the Storm 2 (never liked it on the storm 1), but not enough for me to even consider going back.

I have no problems with the soft keyboard, and the hard keyboard isn't bad. Not great, but isn't bad at all.

I do miss the keyboard short cuts on my tour and the app quick launch.

I don't miss the boot up time, small screen, very bad browser, paying for turn by turn, battery pulls, old OS, slow loading Google maps and I'm sure i missing a few.

I came from a tour and I did love the keyboard but I had my droid for about 3 weeks now...love the physical keyboard and after looking at a screen this size I could never go back to a small screen.

I so love the Droid over the click screen of my storm. I thought I would be using the physical keyboard all the time, but the touch screen one seems so nice i don't bother with the physical one.

I can't see going back to a blackberry till they get a very good browser. I also don't miss the constant battery pulls, very long bootups and the rediculous expectations of what the Blackberrys can do....especially the Storms. For the first time in a long time, I am very happy with my phone. Sure, the honeymoon is over but the features still amaze me. As many have said before, the droid is like carrying a mini computer.

I do kind of miss the days of the Salomandorin video's. Wow! What a time in the forums waiting for the latest and greatest Storm. You would have thought it was the second coming. So yeah, I am content day in and day out with my droid. I don't spend nearly the time in the forums because I am so content. I guess that would explain why the Android Forums are not the most exciting in the world.

Honestly, no... I haven't thought about my BB since I got my Droid. I h ave never been so happy about a device. The performance is outrageously fast, so much better than the BB.

Yeah scraped the Storm and never looked back. I do keep a BB Curve for work, as the droid is not good for the amount of emails I need to keep up with.

i seriously had zero probs with my s1, it was a good phone. but its nothing compared to a droid as far as speed,apps, video,games,..etc.

+1

I had a Storm2, led by Sal's enthusiasm, but now I'm a Droid boy and happiest I've ever been (although I must say I've had it for less than 48 hours).

In particular, the expectation of constant battery pulls, constant OS updates and meticulous closing of all unused apps is crazy now that I've been exposed to Android.

I kind of miss my tour mostly cause of the keyboard, but android has a lot more to offer. The droid is just a solid phone that works and android OS is awesome.

<sarcasm>
I miss the slow browser, the battery pulls, the super long boot up times, the outages, the complaints...
</sarcasm>

Android is a completely different experience, and for me a better one.

I'm with you there. My bb seemed to take so long to recover from a signal loss, where my Droid seems instant, almost seamless. (My reception deep in the hospital is not the greatest.)

I definitely don't miss 7 minute reboots, reboots every single time an app is updated or deleted, the lousy browser and the antique interface straight out of 1995.
