Starting to miss my BLACKBERRY-- anyone in the same boat?

I am an ex BB user (World 8830) and struggling like heck with the Droid Keyboards. While I am sure I will get better with time, the one lacking feature I cannot imagine ever getting past is arrows for cursor control on the touch screen keyboard. Neither the stock keyboard nor any 3rd party apps/widgets have arrows for cursor control. Using the tap method is impossible to get the cursor where I want it when I have to go back to correct typos. W/ my BB world, this was simple with the track ball.

Anyone have suggestions for me?

Yea go back to BB like I am

I only had my Storm 2 for a week so I don't remember. I'm done with touchscreens I'm going back to the Tour.

Had a Storm-- possibly the worst device RIM ever made. Actually liked the click-screen but it never worked properly due to an uneven click and no multi-touch. Storm 2 looked much better as far as that went though I personally never tried it. Still, I thought typing on a touch screen would be hard but I've actually found it very easy on my Droid-- I can actually type on it much faster than I could on my Storm and my old Curve 8330.

Regardless, Droid owns BB in every category that counts-- much more stable OS, infinitely better media capabilities and browser, way more apps to choose from. I have no idea how I actually stuck to BB for 2 years. Google all the way from now on.

So I guess the answer is "I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT MISS MY BLACKBERRY NOT ONE BIT!"

Going back to my 8330 would be like going from a 50in plasma to a 13 in black&white TV. I have to admit that the droids keyboard leaves a lot to be desired.

Very true, I could never go back to a smaller screen.

HUGE NEWS for Ex BB Users struggling with Droid Keyboard......."Smart Keyboard Pro" now offers arrows for cursor control....I am keeping my Droid thanks to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hooooooooorrrrrrrrrray........ It is available in Marketplace. I am not the Developer, just a thrilled/relieved user!!!!!!!

For the most part I don't miss BB. There are incremental things I miss, mostly the amazing LED and LED customization options. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with my switch.

check out "missed call" app, free in market. Not as good as berrybuzz, but allows LED light changes.

for the record... don't the berry a bit. I do miss having a battery last longer than 15 minutes, though.

I owned a Curve (8330) and switched over to the Hero

Although I do miss the keyboard (greatly), the battery life and the themes (from Crackberry :D), the Hero is so much better

Only waiting for my 2.1 upgrade to make it complete

i'm also a beginner. i just bought the new blackberry pearl and i am consuming time browsing it.

I was starting to miss the blackberry simply due to the fact that it does enterprise sync better than anyone.

Went to the VZW. Store and played with storm, curve and tour. I am sticking with my Droid until I can upgrade!

I miss the speed of making calls on the BB. Just start typing a name out and the names pop up. Much longer on the Hero. Also battery life of the Hero blows chunks. BB is faster to bang out messages and e-mails start to finish. I'm gonna try to get an EVO when it comes to Sprint some way. May be it will be faster and make me forget the BB.

I'm on the fence about switching off my berry. EVO would be my droid choice and will take it for a test drive maybe [depending on Sprint's pricing plans and any other charges]. My Tour has been excellent for the 10 months I've had it and it would take a great overall deal to get me off of it.
