static noise earpiece lg g6

when my phone screen is on i hear a little static noise from the earpiece when i keep my ear to it this only happens when the screen is on is this normal or a defect ? i hope someone could answer my question

Welcome to Android Central! That can't be normal -- can you hear it if you're on a headset as well?

interesting. it is extremely quiet, so many will never hear it unless you have good ears and a quiet place and hold it up to your ear for no reason.

... no, nevermind. I think I only hear some airflow or sound reflection when held a certain way. I can get the same with screen on or off.

In settings>networks>call, are you able to turn on noise suppression and voice clarity?

I don't have a G6, but I have a V20 which has that feature.

@scaots yeah it is only when i keep my phone against my ear for no particular reason but it was something i noticed so i thought maybe there are more people with this problem or thing..

yeaj i have the same options i have it enable but stil hear that weird sound like something is spinning you only hear it when you have your phone against your ear

That's odd. I don't hear anything like that on my V20 with those options enabled.

it dont botters me but it was a moment that i thought ehm oke is this normal cause never had a phone before where i can hear this sound the place has to be really silent to notice the sound
