I apologize in advance for this long-winded post, but I wanted to share my subjective experience with the S26U.
As with most of us, I received it on March 11th and was really impressed, coming from my trusty S21U. We all know the many positives of this phone. We also all read the occasional criticisms of the screen, most of which were really due to expecting perfect vibrancy with the privacy feature engaged. But then a significant number of people were talking about eye strain and/or headaches which were attributed to some screen technology anomalies created by the new privacy display. I immediately attributed these criticisms to people just looking to find fault with Samsung and the new phone or to just being hypochondriacs. Initially I did experience some eye strain but I assumed this was due to the amount of time I was spending with the new device so I was not terribly concerned as I really thought it was inconceivable that all the engineers at Samsung could ever have overlooked something that could have such a negative impact on users of their new flagship device. But now for the past week the constant eye strain has gotten more noticeable and I've been getting mild headaches throughout the day.
I checked with Amazon and I have until Saturday to initiate a return so I've switched my Sim card back to the S21U and I'm going to see if these issues continue or disappear. If they go away I'm going to have to conclude that there is, indeed, something going on with the screen of the S26U which is endemic to its screen technology itself and has nothing to do with the privacy feature (which I've kept completely off throughout my time with this phone). Should that be the case, and with great sadness, back will go the S26U to Amazon and I guess I'll have to wait eagerly for the introduction of the S27U next February.

I really feel terrible because there's really so much I love about this phone but I can't stand the thought of living with these problems for the next 4-5 years (I keep my phones for a long time). 😭😭😭

Anyone else having any of the issues I've described?

Sorry to hear that

Try these 4 settings go to settings>display

The S26 Ultra has two types of sub-pixels. Narrow (for Privacy Display) and Wide. Even with the Privacy Display feature off, the narrow pixels are still on. Some people are too sensitive with both Narrow and Wide pixels working at the same time.

Check out this link for a better explanation:

This is a pretty disturbing thread. Just this afternoon I decided to make an appointment with my eye doctor in the morning because I've been having lots of issues with my eyes and vision with my contacts (daily wears so new lenses in the eyes every day) which I've worn literally for decades
I had briefly let it pass my mind that this new screen could be an issue but let that go because I never use nor have I ever used the privacy screen. But, after reading the above article I realize that the pixel setup on the S26U could be an issue in itself. Since receiving this phone I've had eye strain issues leading to vision clarity issues.
I'll be making an appointment with my eye doctor asap and may also have to move to another phone. Worse case scenario since my return time is passed is to sell the 26U on Swappa and move back to the S25U.
