Any one know what the phone icon means next to the Bluetooth? There isn't an active call. When there is an active call it's actually on the left side of the status bar. This is the 2nd time I've noticed it and I have no idea what makes it disappear.

Thanks in advance!!

Yes it means Speaker Phone is on!

Seems like a bug to me. When you end a call that uses the speakerphone the icon remains. When you initiate the next call the speaker is not on so it goes away. Not used to that behavior coming from a long time galaxy user.

Curious, I just called my Pixel XL from my desk phone, answered the call, and put it on speaker. As soon as I hung up my desk phone, the call ended on my Pixel and the speakerphone icon (which had, indeed, come on as shown above) went away. I tried a second time, this time I ended the call by "hanging up" the Pixel, instead of the desk phone; same thing - the speakerphone icon immediately went away.

So, if it's a bug, it must be in the Verizon version of the OS. My Pixel XL was purchased directly from Google and is on the Project Fi network.

Not an Verizon bug. Tested it on my friends Verizon Pixel XL. The icon went away after the speaker call ended. It could be an app she installed that is causing an conflict.

@iLogikk have you rebooted your phone or try to clear your cache and try it again to see if it stays.

Mine was purchased directly from Google. I didn't want to buy it from Verizon.

This has been happening since I received the phone. I've just ignored it. I did a factory reset before finding out the "Bluetooth connecting to car audio issue" was a known issue. However, I did not try making a call prior to reinstalling apps. Will do that.

UPDATE:
I didn't factory reset but booted into safe mode and it didn't happen while in safe mode. Since doing this it hasn't happened once.

Because it wouldn't be Android Central if Verizon wasn't blamed for all the things.
