Status bar question

Why is it that when i receive a text message and pull down the status bar then click the message that I received it opens the last text conversation that I had and not the new message that I just received. Am I doing something wrong?

That is how it shows you. It doesn't just show you the new message. It shows the conversation with the person with the new message at the bottom. Even if its an old conversation.

I think the only way for it to show just the new message would be to delete your conversations when done.

Are you using stock text or handcent?

I am using the stock text app and it doesn't even show me the new conversation it will show the last conversation I had open even if it was with a different contact.

Handcent does things a bit differently. You may want to try it out. I tried Handcent, didn't like it and removed it.

Then I tried it again and actually took some time to tweak and set it up how I wanted it. I really like like Handcent now.

Yeah it sounds like a bug in The regular messaging app, it shouldn't be doing that. I use handcent anyway which is much better.
