Status bar

OK, coming from a dinc2. I was able to pull down the status bar while I was using another app and have it show me recently used apps. It was really nice say if I was using the browser and wanted to send a text. Instead of closing out the browser and going into text I could just pull down status bar, pick text app,send text, then it would go straight back to the browser. Was this a sense thing or is there a setting somewhere I am missing?

If you press and hold the home key, it will bring up your most recently used apps.
