I've been checking the sgpstore.com site almost daily for a few weeks waiting for them to stock a version for the Fascinate. They now have the Anti-Fingerprint and UltraCrystal versions available for purchase.

SGPStore.com :: Fascinate protectors

Just ordered one of each (not sure which one I'm going to like, or if they feel different at all).

I'll post back my impressions once I've had a chance to try them out.

I just ordered the Ultra Crystal one, I figured it would the clearest and better one out of the two.

Ugh, I wish they would make an ultra oleophobic protector for the US Galaxy S variants...I have one on my itouch and it's crystal clear as well as very smooth to the touch.

Edit: how is it out of stock already? What, do they only stock a few for non-iphone phones??

Yeah I ordered my Ultra Crystal yesterday, and then saw today that they are already out of stock...

This screen protector is either really popular, or they did not have near enough ready for launch.

Will be looking forward to your reviews of the Steinheil screen protectors. Would much rather have one that covered the whole screen and although this partial-screen anti-scratch one from Verizon feels fine to the touch and doesn't impede the beautiful screen at all, but it couldn't be a worse fingerprint magnet!! I can't wait to clean it every night before charging it. Would like to know how easy the Steinheils go on as well, since Verizon put this one on. Hubby's iPod Touch has an ugly screen cover but at least it never has fingerprint marks. :-\

I have this on my Incredible. Its the best one I have used ever. It fits so well with a very small gap all the way around. Figures I order a different brand, the Realook ones from Amazon right before these come out.

I have just the basic VZW one but I'd love one to fit my entire thing. Keep my phone looking really sharp. Bookmarked, on the Christmas list.

As nice as Steinheil's products are (I have the Ultra Oleophobic on my iPod Touch 4), they are probably the ****tiest ****ing business I've ever had the misfortunate of dealing with/hoping to deal with. The second they got the Fascinate screens in stock, they were out of stock. They don't give you the option to pre-order one while it's out of stock nor do you have an option to be reminded when it comes back in stock. Then they go ahead and change the design of their site today, which is pretty awesome I think, but neither of the covers for the Fascinate even show up now. You can only find the anti-fingerprint one on Amazon.

I was able to order the ultra crystal before they ran out and really glad I did. I had the Realook protector (ordered after reading good reviews about them), but I wasn't happy with the way it felt and how much it showed off fingerprint smudges. I wanted a protector that didn't take away from the beauty of the screen, that was easy to put on, that felt pretty close to the actual glass screen and wasn't such a fingerprint smudge magnet. The steinheil is pretty much all of these. While it still gets smudged, it's no wear near as bad as the realook was. Honestly, the realook was a great protector but the smudges got so bad at times that it would actually get in the way of the screen. The worst part of it was that it was difficult to wipe the smudges away for some reason. That's my only gripe with the realook. Maybe I just have extra only fingers...lol.

The steinheil UC is a really great protector. I have no issue that it doesn't cover the top inch above the headset. Really is a non-issue. I love the fact that I can't tell that it's even. Even better then that, it was so easy to install. Someone like me that cringes every time I read about body skins and sprays, this was the protector for me. Definitely worth waiting for and giving it a shot.

I'm happy my local Best buy didn't have the unviable shield in so now I can get one of these.

Which website are you referring to as being redesigned? sgpstore.com still looks the same to me as it always has... I also still see the Fascinate covers show up when i type fascinate in the search box... (although, ultra crystal still shows out of stock)

And, the Amazon version that I see is not for "the fascinate"... The one I see is for the generic Galaxy S i9000 (see the optical DPad at bottom of screenshot).

Protectors Received... I ordered one of both Anti Fingerprint and Ultra Crystal.

Anti Fingerprint :

I started with this one, because I felt that if there was one that I "would not" like, it would be this one. Thus, wanted to have the better one be the 2nd one I installed.

This one does have a good Matte finish. It definitely won't prevent all finger prints.. but, the matte finish helps hide the residue left by your finger. When I turned on the screen, it convinced me to NOT have this protector on my phone. There was an obvious diffusion of light from the screen... It's hard to explain, but, basically, the screen details just looked more "fuzzy". Considering I paid top-dollar for this SAMOLED display, hiding it behind this type of screen protector would be blasphemous.

Within 5-10 minutes, I removed the Anti Fingerprint... moving on to Ultra Crystal..

Ultra Crystal

This protector is definitely the one for me. It is very clear.. I seriously cannot tell it's on there unless I closely examine its edges. The protector is about 1/32 of an inch smaller than the glass size... which is basically nothing.

The feel of it is very similar to the original Gorilla Glass. If you think of the original glass on a scale of 1-100 for "friction"... 1% being the Gorilla Glass... This protector increases the friction level to about 5%... And in some ways, helps fix issues I had with the original Glass.... When I had damp/humid fingers, my fingers would tend to stick to the glass.. However, the tollerance now on this protector is much better... I can have slightly humid/damp fingers and not feel any stickiness.

Fingerprints... My chosen method is to wipe the screen on shirt-sleeve. With the protector, that doesn't seem to get ALL the oil off the screen... But, this is nothing that good cleaning cloth/solution can't fix. I'll probably just end up doing the full cleaning a bit more often than I used to.

All-in-all.. this is a great protector... the change of the feel of the glass is negligible. The coverage is great ... and the clarity of the screen shines through unimpeded.

Now, it'd just be nice if they'd get more in Stock so that others can benefit from them....

Follow-up Review for Ultra Crystal --

After a couple of weeks.. I'm still pleased with the product. Although, during that time, I did notice a single tiny scratch on the screen. The scratch was one of those that you could not see most of the time, but when held at certain angle against light it was visible. It could not be felt by the finger, so.. no biggie there.

I only state this because when I had other phones and the Zagg invisible Shields.. i never had any small scratches show up ever... they supposedly had their "self healing" surface...

But.. I now prefer the UltraCrystal over Invisible shield/Bodyguardz.. primarly due to the surface feel. The Ultra is still very glass-like.. no sticking of fingers at all.

Unfortunatey, I had to send my original Fascinate back via VzW Warranty, and replaced with another. So, I had to use my 2nd protector on the replacement phone... I did try to save the original and transfer to the new phone, however, my big fat fingers weren't able to stay off of the sticky-side surface.. and didn't want to put on new phone with the finger prints under the surface...

in general, still happy, bought a few extras now for family member's phones.

Oh, i'm still not convinced that this surface is needed on top of the Gorilla Glass... but, as others have mentioned.... if this small, invisible, smooth surface that protect the glass from accidental Diamond and Sand abrasion.. then why not ..

Just kidding- I manually searched Fascinate and found them. Ordering Ultra Crystal right now. I will be a wreck until mine gets here. I currently have no protector on it (and while the YouTube I watched looked flawless, I am scared of getting bubbles with this protector, too, sigh). Stupid crappy Verizon ones.

Hey! Just wanted to say thanks for this recommendation. I ordered the ultra crystal this week and just put it on... worlds better than the verizon one and it was just about the same price! I like that it covers the whole front surface of the screen. And it feels pretty close to the screen without anything.

Did you have a hard time applying it? Any bubbles or anything? That's what I fear once I get mine.

installation is very easy. no solution to worry about, just peel off half the protector and line it up... lining it up is the most important post. as their website shows, it's best to line it up before you remove the film, so that you know how much to leave on each side.

as for the bubbles, it's very easy to lift up a corner (using included sticky tape), then lay it back down, being sure to push the bubbles out as you go.

I agree, easy. I did get some dust on it as I was adhering the protector but I used the included "dust remover" (thought I think scotch tape would work just as well) and kept adhering and removing until all the dust was gone.
