Still can't get update!!!

I got the OTA update this morning and it stalled at boot. Then I tried manually udpating and i got the following error:

E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip

(status 7)

and it won't do the update.

Any ideas what i need to do???

I am on the EG30 modem and have always been.

Take it to a Sprint repair facility and have them load it for you.

Since you're mentioning the EG30 modem, it sounds to me like you're rooted. If so, that's likely your problem.

Rooting by itself won't make a difference to the EK02 OTA updater since it only adds files. The EK02 OTA updater only cares about file it is modifying.

There could be a couple of things going wrong
1) the update file is corrupted
2) OP is trying to use CWM to install the OTA update.zip (which needs to be run in stock recovery)
3) the most likely reason is some files in /system were changed after root was obtained

For #3, use the Auto Root package, and choose Option D. There is an EK02 compliance check you can run which will tell you any files that fill fail the EK02 integrity check. You need to be rooted to run the compliance check.
