Still can't play videos on the HTC one

Hey, quite new here, and needing some help. I recently watched on my HTC One Mini a video on YouTube and half way through the video it started to glitch. I switched the app off but I checked and no other videos would work. But the problem extends to other apps - instagram ,snapchat and videos on chrome. On YouTube sound would sometimes be audible but the actual video would never load. And on the others things woudnt even play. I think it might have to do with codecs as on website suited for mobiles the video said your device isn't encoded for the video. However watching videos already downloaded on MX player works. Even videos I've recorded on my phone won't play(mp4). I am confused and any help would be appreciated.

I have an htc one m8 and when I go to watch some videos (like through fb) I have no sound but can watch the video and on other things like youtube my sound is fine. Help?

Thanks Baxter it works out perfectly, I can stream videos now as normal. But by mistake I uninstall the updates of the Google Play Store how can I install them back ? Plz help

Okay I had this problem too, but I fixed it by just calling HTC, if you Google HTC helpline it will give you their number for your country, and it's super simple and seriously it's WAY easier than deleting all your data (did that and it delete ALL my photos so... Over 4,000 memories gone) anyway yes they may have a very annoying accent (America?) But it's worth it. Btw if you get Elven, I know he has an annoying voice but he fixed my problem in a matter of minutes
