I have 4.2.1 on my GSM Nexus.

I had 4.2 as well on my GSM Nexus. It came in over the air and downloaded fine. I flashed over it with Cyanogenmod 10.1 stable due to some issues I had with it.

OP, Are you running stock, unlocked, etc? If you are still missing it, you might want to look into flashing it from using the guides here:

or look into the ones at xda.
