I ordered my replacement X today (I've had my X since July 16), the Verizon rep said it would ship August 18
every one on here has really been getting my hopes up that ill be getting my X earlier than what verizon says.. ordered mine on the 29th but nothing at all so far (did get a confirmation email thoe)... spoke to a verizon rep and he stated mine wouldnt ship til the 5th... hopefully it gets here sooner... especially since im being teased with all the accessories i ordered already showing up...
After reading this thread, I would definitely say the consensus is to ORDER ONLINE rather than in-store. Like I said, ordered mine on July 21st and still no word. Pretty frustrating.

Not only that, but mine is on the FedEx truck to be delivered right now, even though I went with the free two day shipping. So I'll have it one day after I ordered.
Has anyone tried to get a replacement X through best buy? My best buy said they dont know when the next shipment is coming.... But I am number 4 on the list so I have my hopes up!!

Hopefully your wait won't be much longer , I ordered mine(off phone) on 7/21 and got it 7/28Wow you are incredibly lucky (no pun intended lol).... i go on a small vaca on fri straight from work so hopefully it gets here by thurs so i can have the weekend to mess with it...
Ugh. Unhappy all around. Against my better judgment, ordered at a brick-and-mortar store on Friday. Rep there told me it'd ship by Aug 4. The rep was TERRIBLE overall, and honestly it's a good thing all I wanted to do was put in the order. He was barely able to do even that.
Called *611 yesterday, and they assured me the 7/29+ orders had a ship-by date of Aug. 11. To make matters even worse, the kid at the store never bothered to ask for an e-mail address, and apparently it is now "impossible" for me to receive an e-mail when it ships. So I'm stuck calling every day until I get the tracking num - need to know when it's going to arrive so I don't get stuck playing the FedEx signature delivery game.
Spending my time reading every possible thing I can about the phone while my OG BB Storm slowly dies a little more every day. I swear, by this point I know more about the X than half the OWNERS out there

Heh, I must have had impeccable timing on my order. It was delivered as expected, so I had it in my house 25 hours after I received my order confirmation.
now the webiste shows it will be shipped by 8/19.

finally!!! got the shipping info this morning and thanks to free overnight shipping (use this coupon code: FREEOVERNT) i will have it tomorrow... just in time for the weekend and my vaca....
Man, it really bums me out that not only are online orders somehow shipping faster than in-store orders (you'd think inventory is inventory, right?) but also get free upgraded shipping AND instant, non-mail-in-rebate. Top that with a horrible in-store experience, and it kind of makes me wish VZW would just do away with B&M stores altogether. Just have unmanned demo kiosks for cripes sake.

Tucker have you tried callig VZW customer support? I ordered mine thru phone few weeks ago, then called them back about 3 days later and got confirmation number from FedEx. Shipment arrived same day as predicted when i first ordered it thru phone

Yeah, I've been calling them every day - "sorry, we don't have a tracking number in the system." When I talked them on Monday, they said orders on the 30th have ship-by dates of the 11th.
Spending my time maniacally curating my BB contacts into lists on my various gmail accounts to facilitate a smooth transition. Well, that and reading the hell out of the forums...

Question: Anybody order the X through the verizon website recently, say sometime in August?
I am still waiting on mine to be delivered in-store (I am next on the "waiting" list), which I have been waiting since July 21st.
Basically, just wondering at this point if it would be quicker for me to get the X by ordering through the website, or keep being patient and waiting for the in-store delivery.
