Still no DroidX :(

Ordered mine Monday afternoon (S California). Just got shipping confirmation with expected delivery of the 27th...bummer I can't have it for the weekend :D
 
I just got mine from the fedex truck here at work. I have 8 new Droid X's to setup now. One being mine that will get setup this afternoon. then I will do the rest on monday after I have played with mine so that I can answer questions of the other 7 folks :) . I ordered them monday afternoon 7-19.
 
I just ordered mine this afternoon my early upgrade was not until 8/10 but the CSR changed my date due to problems with my current phone. I obviously don’t have a tracking number yet but I did check my back account and they already took their money. So hopefully since they already took my money and I paid for overnight shipping I will see my phone soon. Or do you think that is common that they deduct the money right away? Amazon does not charge you until they ship it. I did get the confirmation email that I ordered it but no tracking. I ordered about 1pm this afternoon and keep checking my email for a miracle.
 
I'm going to have to wait for an hour or more before I can activate it now, right in middle of remote installation project an have to keep the iPHone working till I get done. :(
 
I am going to go to the Verizon store and order it tomorrow morning. Does anyone know if Verizon is just shipping to customers or if they are still shipping limited stock to stores on a first come first serve basis.

Not sure about the Stores but I called around to some of the local stores and none of them had any. They had no idea when or if they would get them. You might be better off ordering online.
 
It is nice see see the 8/3 date holding. Looks like maybe they are finally starting to catch up to demand.

Tell me about it. I keep reading on different forums of people who ordered their X after I did and already got their shipping info or phone. I mean like a day or 2 after me(I ordered the 18th). Must be a location thing, maybe where I am(Jersey) has some high demand that's taking longer to meet than other areas or something.

I am so damn excited for this phone that every morning I wake up and don't got that confirmation email I get disappointed. My order said will ship by the 27th but 2 reps I spoke with said I would have it by the 27th cause it was shipping early. I got a feeling Tuesday will roll around and I will have neither an X nor a delivery confirmation email.

Maybe it also has to do with how you pay. I billed it to my account thinking it would be quicker but maybe that has in fact made it take longer. Maybe by the time they approve the credit to bill to your account it holds it up a day or 2 as apposed to someone who pays up front or something?

Just throwing some ideas out but I don't know. All I do know is I want this DROID X!!! Feel like it's a never ending Christmas Eve:p

Here's a story for all of you. My friend ordered his early in the morning on the 15th. Got it the next day. I ordered via a customer service rep by calling Verizon on the 17th and was told that I would have it in my hands yesterday the 22nd. I called Verizon several times Wednesday, Thursday, and today and was told five different stories. I was told that due to the time and date of my order, it would ship by the 23rd. So, tonight, I called one last time and was told it was going to ship this coming Tuesday, and since my initial order was placed via customer service, I was ineligible for next day shipping and that I would receive it in two days. Verizon: that was a horrible thing to do – you should be ashamed of yourself! Shame…Shame…Shame…Bottom line, I will have it this coming Thursday.

This is absolutely crazy. Verizon should have learned from what happened to Apple and AT&T. You would think they would have planned a little better. I'm so disappointed now that I started to consider a Captivate. I hope I get my Droid X before I lose any more interest.
 
I ordered mine on the 16th with shipping by the 23rd, and I am happy to report that I finally got my shipping confirmation! It it estimated to arrive on the 26th. :D

It's random that some people are getting theirs early, but it seems they are at least honoring their "promise to ship by" dates. Hang in there everyone, they will get there eventually!

If you have a ship date by the 23rd, now is the time to be calling Verizon and making sure they didn't lose your order or allow it to ship late.

I think we're in a similar boat here my friend. I live in RI, so being the both of us are in the northeast, maybe thats why its taking longer? I ordered online on the 19th, and paid immediately. Still no shipping confirmation email. Ihave called Verizon twice, and both times was told it would ship by 8/3, even though it said ship by 7/27 on Monday when I ordered the damn thing.

I'm not expecting it until 8/4...thats kind of helping with the Christmas Eve feeling...
 
Here is my experience.
Ordered online on Sat the 17th around 1pm and emailed for a shipdate. I believe the website was saying it would ship by 7/27 at that point.
Called on Monday to request that free 2nd day shipping be changed to free overnight shipping that was now advertised. They said they put a note in the system and would try.
I got an email today saying it would ship by 8/3 now.
Called CS. They said it would still ship by 7/27. I complained about the inconsistencies/unknown shipdate, about charging me before shipment, about wanting to cancel my order, etc. Call ended with them saying they would text me on 7/27 with a tracking #
Got an email this afternoon saying it shipped today and I would receive it on 7/23.
I have been following a few websites and it seems I might of been a little fortunate. I guess I can't complain about the ship method...need to save some karma for a pristine phone.


Phone arrived yesterday. I am on the West coast. Shipped from Ontario California

I'm afraid that is what is going to happen here. I just hope for both of our sakes if it doesn't ship by the 27th that it does shortly after and we don't have to wait till 8/3. I was just hoping to be one of the lucky ones to get it shipped early, but hey we still got all day today, Monday, and Tuesday to get the email. If that happens I won't mind at all since that was the date it said when I ordered.

However i would be disappointed if I had to wait till the 3rd when people that ordered after me are already getting their X's. I guess the 2 reps I spoke to that insured me mine would ship before the 27th and that I should have it by then just got me a little extra excited for my X. I also wondered if it was because I ordered the dock with mine. I wonder if they have a shortage on docks if they would wait til they could fill my entire order or if they would send me each separately when available if they had to. They haven't even charged my account for it yet so I am not getting my hopes up for mine shipping anytime soon.

I hope my order isn't delayed because I bought the dock with it. That would anger me. I ordered mine the morning of the 22nd. I will happily take the droid x now and ship the dock whenever you get it. :)
 
It will surely be worth the wait on the X-Phone!

I was one of the very few people on the 15th as they switched me from the Incredible Phone to the X and now i am so greatful!

You should start looking for all the things to go with the X phone. My store didn't have
a D*m thing.

PS: Love the Videos in the Help Area, took me a lot of days to find the videos, because i never read the instructions.

can anybody tell me what number to call for checking the status on when my droid x will be shipped i ordered in the store on the 20th and store rep messed up my email so i m not going to get any confermation and i hate it because i m so excited to get the phone but cant even figure when i will get it . i called the number for customer service they put me on hold and said he is gonna talk 2 special dept and tell any hints any numbers i can reach fast and find out thanks
 
I got my Droid X on launch day but there is something wrong with the ear piece. I ordered a replacement device (new in the box) and it will be here tomorrow! Wooo!

if you're already a verizon customer just dial *611 from your phone, follow the instructions to talk to a human and they'll be able to find the order status

or you could call 1-800-256-4646....it says its fot orders over the phone, but you might get lucky
