Still no ice cream

That's true and I totally understand. It's a pain in the ass to have to wait so long for something so great. I'm just trying to do my part and help those without their well deserved desserts!

I am just afraid by the time I get my ICS it will be all spoiled due to being left out too long. Who wants a soggy, melted mess when you can have a nice, firm dessert sandwich that makes those around you salivate in jealousy?!

Now I will get mine and the JB owners will look at me like i'm an amateur. Just like the ICS people did to me with Gingerbread. I see a nasty trend developing.

Well the end of the projected Q2 release is near. The sad thing is that it took this long, and now jelly bean will be here next month. These manufacturers and carriers have got to keep up. It would be like loading a new car on the lot to sell and telling the customer, who wants the latest and greatest, that the newer car is on a truck waiting to be on it's way. Sadly by the time we get our Ice Cream Sandwich and begin to get use to it, Motorola will be completing Jelly Bean. Either way its disturbing to think it took this long.

Still waiting here in Lake Suzy, FL. Cant wait to get started rooting!

Even though they kicked me out of the soak test they are still sending me surveys, the one today was about battery life. Dont know if they have several surveys or not, but this is the second one they sent me.

Some people call it being thorough, but in my opinion, they could have been thorough like this and still gotten the dang update out in less that 8 months. If they can't, and it's just too gosh darn hard for them, maybe we need these companies to hire someone with some brains

I know I've said this before, but I still feel that a software update taking just as long as a baby takes to fully develop in a womb just feels wrong. The massive failure and sudden death of the "Android Update Alliance" should let us know that this is never going to change, and that sucks.

The main disappointment now is that ice cream is already last years news now that jellybean was introduced to roll out in july we're being upgraded to second class. Its like waiting for a first class seat and finding out they put you in a middle seat between in coach

I guess I missed it. Was there something about ICS for the TBolt and I missed it? I just rooted today and I'm looking for a stable release ROM for ICS.

Why would jelly belly be released for our phones if ICS is the new OS? I'm confused

I don't understand? It's this close and all the crying and disappointment. 2 months ago i was frustrated and disappointed but now I am anxious but excited.

We should all be anxious and excited for the update because half a day after we get the update everyone will be bored or complaining again.

ICS is a totally new system. It's a major update. Jelly Bean is a very minor update. I doubt it'll take very long to get.

Location makes no difference people. Pushed updates are done via IMEI randomly but usually they are just available these days via the software update menu

That's a fact :-) it's not going to be perfect folks and it's likely that these boards will have new issues to discuss when you do get it. Enjoy your stable Maxx while it still is.

Not everyone can afford a new car when it rolls off the truck. Sometimes the promise of that new model helps reduce the cost of this years model enough for us to buy it.

I just got off the phone with a Verizon rep and they said ICS is the last update the Maxx or any other currently activated phone will get.

The rep said after shared data goes into effect tomorrow all new phones (dinc4g S3 etc) will be supported 18 months after release.

Our phones will no longer receive updates as an incentive to either purchase phones at full price, or at subsidized pricing to get us to give up unlimited data.

I don't care what kind of phone you use, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence. Sent using tapatalk 2.

How the h3ll did you get booted? lol It does take a stupid long time for them to update. I would like to see some confirmation on this whole bit about them limiting updates to 18 months on a phone. Boy, the unlimited data users must be killing them. I have half a mind to find a way to use as much friggen data as I possibly can over the next 18+ months while I am for sure still on unlimited, greedy a$$holes
