Still no ice cream

I just got off the phone with a Verizon rep and they said ICS is the last update the Maxx or any other currently activated phone will get.

The rep said after shared data goes into effect tomorrow all new phones (dinc4g S3 etc) will be supported 18 months after release.

Our phones will no longer receive updates as an incentive to either purchase phones at full price, or at subsidized pricing to get us to give up unlimited data.

I don't care what kind of phone you use, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence. Sent using tapatalk 2.

I have a hard time believing anything a Rep says. I would be very surprised if the razr phones don't get Jelly Bean.

This is pure FUD!

I guess it would be like paying g for a car and not getting service bulletins.

I find it hard to believe that the Maxx will not get Jellybean. My feelings are based on the fact that it is an incremental update (going from 4.0 to 4.1) AND the fact that the Xoom JUST got updated to ICS earlier THIS month yet it is scheduled for Jellybean NEXT month. The Xoom is older than the Maxx and, if IT can be upgraded a month after receiving ICS, it is hard for me to believe they won't do the same with the Maxx. Just sayin.....

You're forgetting that the Xoom is running stock Android. It's much easier to upgrade software when you don't have to take custom skins and bloatware into consideration.

Nothing here yet

Gentlemen, I hate to be a "Negative Nancy" over here, but it's not coming to us until July. Motorola is straining those Super Nintendo processers over there just by rolling it out to 3 people per day.

I got super excited for ICS these past few months, and now it's becoming such a joke with the rollout that I am losing interest by the day. Maybe it's a blessing, but it's quickly dissipating with each passing night when I unlock my phone and.........NOTHING.
