this the 1st time i exchange my htc one m8 to a new one because the last one has a loose volume button and I don't like the battery life

only get 15 hrs of phone use and about 3-4 hours of On screen time with (GPS battery save mode, wifi On all the time, brightness on Auto, and Google account sync) Only played this phone for about 5 days.

This new HTC one m8 has the same result. Should I settle it more, I mean should i use it a couple of days more to see a good optimise battery?

Folks gotta give the battery atleast a week before freaking out. Mine took 5 days before it dug it's heels in. And turn off your auto brightness. I keep the slider button between the l and e below the word "level" unless i need more. And always return it to that position when i don't need more.

Google sync has absolutely killed my battery life before, I would watch out for that one.

My personal experience with Android devices is to give the battery a few days to settle down. Google Services do their thing initially and cause considerable battery drain. Hope this helps.

OP, that does seem a little low. Not terrible, but lower than I have experienced, even out of the box. Like the others have said, I'd give it a week and play with, get everything set up correctly, get in a routine, and see what happens.

The battery life reports from this phone have been stellar, so I hope you get there too.

Thank You so much guys. I'll Install GSAM and Screenshot every routine of my battery. I hope ill get a battery life like the others.

It sounds about where my phone was when i first got it. I was envious that others were claiming 24 hours plus, but i gave it a chance. Now i am getting 24 hours plus on moderate to heavy use. Yesterday i really put the hurt to it. Three hours of videotaping and taking pictures at my daughters softball game. Then atleast another hour plus of reviewing said videos and photos. Plus texting, perusing this board as well as others, and hitting youtube to scout NFL rookies to prepare for my FF draft and still had 22% left when i put it on the charger after 20 hours off.

There is just no way you can expect super battery life by using every feature a cell phone has to offer. That's just the way it is. The only thing i have auto syncing is my weather(every hour). Everything else i do it manually as i need it. I don't use BlinkFeed, Google now, or any of the other stuff right now, but eventually i intend to dabble with it.

i would try a factory reset, then see if the battery improves at all,i have done that a while ago and it helped with my batter life. Screenshot_2014-04-27-22-20-12.jpgScreenshot_2014-04-27-22-21-14.jpg

i have had it for about 3 weeks now, when i first got it i charged it right away,i believe i got 6 hours and 30 minutes of screen on time with about 22 hours off the charger, but after about a week i started seeing much better battery life,i did have a period where it was draining more then normal,i factory reset it and all has been fine ever since :)

Tnx for the advise man. Ill be doing that tonight(factory reset) so i would get the most out of my batt..

Doesn't a factory reset lead to hours of reconfiguring?
