Still thinking about getting the Nexus 7

Looking for a tablet and can't decide between the Nexus 7 and Nexus 9 . Mostly I use tablets for media consumption and watching movies, from time to time I play some games, but for the price difference of Nexus 7 and Nexus 9 I could simply pick up a dedicated portable console like the 3DS. Is the Nexus 7 still worth it?

Absolutely. This time of the year is a perfect time to find one at a great deal, too. You may want to consider a 32 GB one. I've had mine for over a year and I couldn't be happier.

Long-time lurker - first post - I just got a 32GB Nexus 7 about 2 weeks ago and have flat-out stopped using my iPad Air. Just an amazing device for the money - even now. Amazed how smooth it is for year old + technology. In fact, going to try and update to Android 5.0 today using the factory image - which I have never done before.
I just wish Google would make it easier to buy their products. The Nexus 7 convinced me to buy a Nexus 5 or 6 phone, and they are never available through Google Play. Frustrating.

Yeah isnt that annoying? I snatched up an n5 about 2 weeks ago during a very short time when they were actually in stock.
