Still Using LauncherPro after 2.2 update?

One bricked droid, two anxiety-filled droid-less days of waiting and one replacement later, I'm up and running with Froyo

I was wondering if anyone out there still uses LauncherPro now that you get more screens in the new update. Are there any advantages? I miss the scrollable dock at the moment. But I didn't know if it was worth the occasional FC that I had with LauncherPro

I use Launcher Pro Plus.

I've been using LauncherPro Plus on Froyo for several days. When it works, it's great, but it restarts often, which has me thinking about going back to the stock launcher.

Yeah that was the issue that I was having towards the end of 2.1. I DEFINITELY need the extra screens and I really liked the dock.

I was hoping to hear that someone was having a great amount of success with LauncherPro & 2.2 or that Stock was somehow much better now.

I've been using ADW Launcher since LauncherPro started getting bloated with widgets. Never an FC, and this latest update is fantastic.

Still using LP+ but am getting way too many LP+ restarts. I like have the 5 rows of icons and the scrollable dock. Not using any of the LP widgets. Decisions, decisions...

I have Froyo, Moto Droid, use LP Plus, no force closes, no restarts. The app is only "bloated with widgets" if you choose to use them. I don't.

I've just uninstalled LP+, re-installed and setting up from scratch, in hopes of resolving the FCs.. will update here once I've got everything back in place.

Edit: seems a bit more stable after a clean reinstall, guess I'll keep using it and hope it stays that way.

Edit: After a day (give or take a couple of hours) LP+ seems unstable again, FC'ing often. I can't really say for sure that LP is the problem though, it could be something else eating up all of my memory and forcing Android to close LP.

I don't get why you'd still use LP after getting 2.2? The little odds and ends it does seem unimportant...am I missing something?

Some of those odds and ends may not be important, but they're still nice to have... two extra screens, extra dock icons, resizable widgets, etc

Android is dumping the RAM needed to keep LP active in favor of other programs. I suggest using the "keep LP in memory" feature. Also, try using the Back button to return to your homescreen more often instead of hitting Home.

I do have the keep in memory checked and usually use the back button. One thing that seems to have helped is that I did a battery pull a couple of days ago. LP isn't re-drawing nearly as often

I use LauncherPro Plus with Froyo. It only forcecloses after mounting the SD card.

I used Launcher Pro when I had 2.1 but haven't used it since getting my 2.2 OTA update. In fact I uninstalled it after hearing some people having problems running it with 2.2. Plus I like the new stock launcher and now having 5 screens so I don't see a need for Launcher Pro anymore.

I'm still using LauncherPro. I don't get as many LauncherPro restarts/FCs as seem to be reported here, and I really missed the scrollable dock. I don't use any of the Plus widgets.

Droid I, forced Android 2.2.

There's a promising tip here in the official LP forum, trying that now.

Edit: didn't seem to help, so I'm back on the stock launcher until the next LP update comes around. Plus, There's always the chance that I'm simply asking too much of my Droid, I've noticed that I rarely seem to have more than 5MB of free memory.
