Best Buy is running $300 off (installments) right now, so is it still worth buying new at this time? The 3a versions are supposedly set to launch soon with the same cameras. And the 4 is probably less that 6 months away.

The 3A is a considerably slower processor. If I had a phone that was working, and limited money, I'd grab a 3 or 3 XL for $300 off, but if money isn't the problem, I'd wait for the 4 - which probably has a better processor than the 3 (and a better camera processor too - the tricks are done on a chip that Google keeps improving).

A better phone is always around the corner. If you have the money now and want a great phone the pixel 3 or 3xl is an excellent choice, especially at $300 off.

Look at craigslist in your area. Many pixel 3xls to be had for around $500. Yes still worth it and will continue to be 2 years from now.

Today is the last day for $200 off both pixels at the Google store today. The pixel any model is worth buying waiting for the next pixel is not always worth it they are great devices.

Yes. If there are deals, go for it. I wouldn't get it full price dough.

I ended up paying $336 for a 3 after trading in another device. I am coming from the 2 xl thought I would down size since I am retired and don’t use a phone like I use too.

That's sweet deal.

All around the pixel is the best device out there for many reasons. I looked at the s10e but the photo and updates are much better on the pixel. I am amazed how well pixel devices perform compared to other devices out there. I just need a phone that works with no major hiccups as far as battery life goes there is alway a way to charge my phones no matter where I am including a portable charging pack.

Pixel device will offer that , been very satisfied myself

I would absolutely buy a Pixel 3 now. The 3a line also looks superb. I feel like, whenever you buy a Pixel, you'll be making a wise decision.

I just got in on the Google fi birthday deal. Picked up a 3XL for $449. Traded my iPhone X with a diminishing battery for $450. I'm feeling pretty good about my deal :D

I was going to buy the Pixel 3 but went with the S10E with 256gb of internal storage. Camera is damn good. I cant tell the difference between the S10E and the Pixel 3. Traded in my S8 & cost me I think $390.00 for the S10E. The S10E beats the Pixel everywhere, storage + sd-card, 8gb of ram, The S10E is a beast

I guess it depends on what you prefer. For people who prefer a simple interface with regular updates and security patches for several years, the Pixel is better than Samsung. I just bought a couple of 2XLs for just under £400 each. They both run well, the camera is awesome and the specs still out gun the new 3a XL.

I am giving my pre-order Pixel 2XL to my son who currently has a Pixel XL OG. My unit didn't have much blue shift and works pretty well. But I seriously wanted a Panda and the newer pixel was manufactured June 2018 and the battery life on it is phenomenal on Android Q. I also got one for my Enby who had always wanted a 2XL and has moved from iPhone 6. They just turned 19 today and they love their new phone. Didn't want the "latest and greatest" just a 2 XL.

It really is down to personal preference with phones so good for so many years.

I completely agree with you.

The Pixel 2 line and phones of last year don't always need a next-year upgrade: the specs and OS and especially the camera are still good enough to get the job done and then compete with some of the late 2018 and/or 2019 phones. I am still in love with my Pixel 2; and though I am doing research on which new phone to get months from now, it's just so hard to imagine giving up my Pixel 2.

And the Panda 2 XL... I can definitely understand your thinking there. My friend got it shortly after it launched and it is a beauty!

I ended up getting the pixel 3 from Verizon with the 300 off deal. love call screening
