I was wondering if this is still worth getting? I might be in the process of moving to Verizon (yup) from US Cellular and saw that is free from Best Buy right now. I would wait for the Moto X but I don't know if I will be able to wait that long since I am not the one signing the contract. All I want is pure stock android and I feel I would be happy even with outdated specs if I could have stock Android.

I think it is. Although I just upgraded from the Gnex to the N4, the Gnex still plays all the software and has all the functions it needs to last awhile longer.

If your a fan of AOSP it is a great device for VZW. If you lurk thru the forums you will notice the major flaws(battery life & signal). I wouldn't recommend a 2yr contract as the device is aged. Remember the phone was released in 2011 and it is anyone's guess how long this device will continue to receive official support. If possible search the big 3(CL, EBay, or Swappa) for a pre-owned Nexus.

Well I decided to pick it up, I didn't have much time to decide since I had to do it yesterday. I love it so far other than the battery. Pretty much what I wanted with AOSP. I just don't know if the battery is going to last me. With the 2 weeks of being able to return it I might switch it out for the Droid Razr HD.

If you Root it... Id install Purity ROM.
I get 16 hours of battery with standard use, (texting, phone calls, emails, and light gaming)
