Stock alarm clock snooze options

I played around with the Note 5 at best buy. I looked at the snooze options on the device's stock clock. It seems that Samsung significantly reduced the snooze options as compared to my Note 4. On the Note 4, I have many options to change the length of the snooze time and the number of times I can snooze it. On the Note 5, if I remember correctly, you only have the option to either turn snooze on or off. And, it's limited to 5 minutes between snoozes and only "snoozeable" (yes, I know I made up a word) three times. Am I recalling that correctly? Or, did I just not do enough taps, swipes, or scrolls? *yep, I know I can download another app. Just curious about this.

Annoyed too. My snooze is 15 minutes, but I can't change that option. I downloaded clock app from Google from the play store.

So, m3lover1, are you saying that the there is in fact only one snooze duration and that duration is 15 minutes? I thought I saw 5 minutes, but 15 could work, I suppose. My preference is that good old standard 10 minutes. lol

One snooze duration. (3) 5 minute intervals is all I've found. No custom snoozes.

Yep only one option, on or off, at 5 min, 3 times. While that does indeed turn out to 15 min, I don't want to have to hit the damn snooze button 3 times before waking up lol

That sucks! The useful features keep dwindling with each iteration of Touchwiz! First the removal of the ability to snooze the alarm by voice (available in the Note 3, but not the Note 4) and now THIS! LOL! Thanks for the response!

Maybe they figure most people don't like TouchWiz anyway and will use other apps, like other launchers. Which I thought a lot of people like in Android, to customize and make the way they want (although I would still prefer an SD card, but will learn to use the cloud and not be so "old school" about it). But I did notice it seemed to have less settings then my S5, or maybe they're elsewhere, like in an app. I actually prefer an alarm that starts off softly and gets louder, so after trying this stock alarm, I downloaded Gentle Alarm again.

The Note 4 doesn't have the gradually increasing alarm sound, although I think the Note 3 did, if I remember correctly. I did like that. But, the Note 4 does at least have that pre-alarm that is really soft and is supposed to gently start you on your wake up process before the full alarm blasts. Has the pre-alarm been removed, too?

I downloaded the stock android lollipop clock from the playstore because of this reason. The Touchwiz one on both my Note 4 and Note 5 won't allow me to set the snooze options the way I want. The Google one has been great on both.

Hi guys! Snooze: Touch the toggle to turn ON and OFF the snooze feature. Touch Snooze to adjust the snooze settings, and set an INTERVAL (3, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes) and REPEAT (1, 2, 3, 5, or 10 times).

The original alarm, at least on Verizon, doesn't give any option to change the snooze and this is very dumb by Samsung/Verizon.
Talk about Apple controlling user customization

I'm on T-mobile and this isn't working for me.

Not an option on AT&T either. Only have 5 minutes/3 times.

I use timely. Very nice interface & gives you plenty of options. I even like the option to require solving a math problem to dismiss the alarm.

Pritysexy, do you actually have the Note 5 or done the steps you're stating on a Note 5? What you said looks to be straight from another site I came across that looks like they just copied the same steps from the previous versions assuming they're the same. I'm an avid alarm clock user and use it for setting tons of reminders. The Note 5 clock is the first on a Samsung phone I've come across that doesn't have the option to change the snooze settings. Maybe they forgot about it during all the other changes. I hope they bring it back. What's weird though is that I just had an alarm going off to remind me of something and even though the only setting is 3 times at 5 minute intervals, I promise you that I snooze it at least 10 times. I'm going to test it further, that's the first one that went so long.

I've been using Timely since I got the note 5. The options are plentiful. Snooze pretty much any minutes you want, slow buildup to alarm, smart alarm, and tons of others.

Hasn't malfunctioned yet. Knock on wood.

So now with the marshmallow update on 3/5/16 you now have the option to snooze your factory alarm clock at different intervals. FINALLY!!!

Is there any kind of a challenge so you can't accidentally disable the alarm instead of snoozing? With Timely I have to solve a math problem before I can disable the alarm.

Thank goodness they brought the options back! I was not happy with the limited settings that came with my Note 5. That was a stupid backwards move on their part.
