Stock browser question

So on my Droid X, I could open lets say 6 different web pages on the browser in different windows. If I set the phone down for a day and came back those 6 webs pages would still be there, all in there own windows. If I open multiple web pages in their own windows on the TB and I put the phone down for just a little while when I open up the browser again only the page I was on is still available and all the others are gone.

Is this normal for a TB? And if so why the hell did HTC think this was a good idea?

I do know the Thunderbolt stock browser is limited to four open windows at a time. I've never experienced any auto-closing though as I never leave them for any extended period of time as I figure anything left open when not using the phone for a while may drain the battery. Instead, I always close out of any open browser window and return the phone to the home screen. If I want to revisit something later, I'll either bookmark the website or use history.

Usually an hour or two will see it revert to only the page I left it on. Anyone else have this issue?

Yep, same thing happens on my phone. I'm not sure how long it takes to close other windows I've opened, but it definitely happens. I noticed it when I first got the Bolt, but I just figured that it was supposed to work that way.

Like Synycalwon, I used to close out of the extra windows until I realized that they closed automatically, so I don't worry about it anymore.

I've noticed it. I'm rooted and on stock gingerbread rom. I don't know why but it happens sometimes. I always figured it was because my phone needed the extra memory or something and decided to close out the browser.

I especially noticed this happening on custom roms with Sense 3.5. I would be browsing and click home to click music or check my calendar. When I went back to the browser it would reload the last site I was on. So I'm going to guess its because of memory or something.

Oh well, guess I will just deal with it. Interesting how different manufacturers implement things in odd ways from other manufacturers. Thanks for the help on this everyone.
