I just recently flashed the debloated froyo build and since that download my stock calendar won't save any appt or dates. Does anyone else know what the problem is. Thanks. It will let me open the calender and input a schedule however when i hit save it says it is saved but does not show up in calender. Already did a battery pull, no help. Should I put a different calender on there. Just not looking forward to transfering all my appts etc. Any help would be appreciated.

well I will respond to my own topic. I couldnt find anything after searching the forums and since I am impatient I went ahead and downloaded jorte calender. Just synced it up with the google calender which I forgot that my stock calender already was and all of my appointments were imported. Besides the Jorte calender is much nicer anyway. I guess when something is not working we just put it away or throw it out and get a new one. Thanks

I'm having the same problem, due to the exact same situation. I'm so frustrated. Maybe I'll try Jorte...I'm so lost without my calendar.
i am surprised that no one responded to this. I dont know if it is an isolated incident. I just know that the stock calender just seems to have stop working. on the widget it says 15. Like it is stuck on the 15th. The stock calender seems to take up very little space. The Jorte calender is really nice though. You can download all the holidays onto your calender, change colors, put a widget on the phone and most importantly import all the info from the google calendar. If you had your original stock calendar synced then this shouldnt be a problem

I've searched around the forum quite a bit tonight, and several phones and tablets are having the same problem. I wonder if it's a Google Calendar server issue. Make ya wonder...

Sorry no one responded copinli. It's funny with all the rooting, modding, and customizing I've done with my phone, I was still old school with calenders and didn't have much experience with setting appointments in the stock calendar. Heck I'm so old school about calendars I was still carrying around a day planner. Thanks so much telling about Jorte, this is an awesome app. Goodbye day planner
Are you all sure you're saving the appointment to the right calendar file? I had the same problem you're describing, and I realized that the stock calendar defaults to a device-based file, rather than Exchange or Google calendar.
If you scroll down to the bottom of page as you're creating a new entry, you'll find an option called "Calendar." When you open it, you'll find something called "My Calendar," which is the onboard default calendar that syncs to nothing, as well as options for Gmail, Exchange, or whatever other accounts you have set up.
If you pick the calendar you want when you create the new appointment, you may find that fixes syncing.
(From what I can tell, there's no way to change the default permanently. In 2.2, the calendar choice seems to "stick" on the right calendar, but on previous versions, it defaulted back to "My Calendar" every time.)

I only use my Google calendar (personal) or Exchange calendar (work) and none of the events will display. I do get reminders, however. Odd.
I can't even create a new appointment from my phone, the screen goes black. I searched around the forums quite a bit last night and this problem spans across many devices (phones and tablets). Hopefully the stock calendar will be fixed soon.

Well Kalnel, you were right! I discovered that this morning and it was checked to my calender instead of the google calender. I checked the other one and was able to start adding appts and tasks again. It doesnt really matter though because you can do the same on the jorte calendar and I prefer the look and customization of it. I already went on my titanium backup pro and froze the stock calendar for now. thanks

Hey jampot how's it going. I'm telling all my friends who have android phones about Jorte. It is amazing. With the stock calendar you put in an appointment and it just shows up as a blue triangle on the date. With Jorte, even in the full month view you see the wording of what the appointment is. It imports all your facebook friends' birthdays, holidays, you name it. And go into the settings and see how many options you have.
