stock email app vs gmail?

im using the stock email app on my epic right now for my school email. its pretty much just like my old blackberry with the automatic push. but ive never tried gmail. does it work better? does it have push? does it work with microsoft exchange? thanks.

You can set it up to use exchange, that's how I do it. Google gmail exchange settings for set instructions.

Gmail is pushed. You don't need exchange for it. It's not always BlackBerry fast though.

coming from blackberry: I don't see a significant push speed difference worth fussing over.

I never got emails from the stock email app though. Took forever. If ever at all. I never waited.

It's not really worth *****ing about to me either, but it's still not BB instant every time.

I have the stock app set to check every hour (no exchange on those addresses) because I don't care as much about them.
