Stock Email Bubble Notifications?

I already replaced the stock email application with other applications however there is no way to delete the actual stock email so it's in my "applications" area which is fine - out of site out of mind. Except it shows the little bubble notification with the number 17 - like it would if you had a mixed text and it would show 1 - and when I open it it shows 17 unread emails that on my actual email (on the computer, and on the other app) have been read, deleted, or placed in folders. Is there a way to turn this "bubble notification" as I call it off? I'm a little anal and it's driving me nuts.....

Have you tried clearing the App Data of that stock Email App?
Settings--> Apps--> "All" tab--> locate the stock Email App--> Clear Data--> OK

That would have worked - but I didn't see it and hit disable app...how do I re enable it? lol

It'll be located at the very bottom of the "All" tab in your list of Apps.
