So, I've been playing around with different ROMs since last December, and finally had a nicely tuned setup with a slightly-tweaked version of Rubix, with LPP as the launcher.
When all of this OTA Gingerbread update insanity started last week, I decided to go back to the stock ROM.
I'm still using LPP - you'll have to pry that from my cold, dead hands - but I have to say that the stock ROM doesn't seem to be nearly as bad as I remember. Battery life is acceptable, certainly enough to get me through a day, and while my X isn't as snappy as it was on Rubix, it's still fast enough to keep me from complaining.
Am I just lucky? If you've recently gone back to stock in preparation for the eventual OTA update to Gingerbread, how has your experience been back on the stock ROM on your DX?
*My intent is to learn how people who went back to stock (as in, the official released, 2.3.40.MB810 ROM running Android 2.2.1 Froyo) and remained there, are feeling about that. If you're running Gingerbread, leaked or not, then that hasn't been officially released, so that's not you
