So i recently became the owner of an lg g4, not by choice. I previously owned a sony xperia z3 (still the preferred choice) but it broke and the insurance dealers could not get me a new z3, so i got a g4 which was the closest comparison.

Anyway, i liked the z3 for its waterproof ability, front facing speakers, amazing simplistic style, but most of all, its almost completely stock version of android. The z3 software was so simple, which is what i like. I can handle complex, but i prefer simple.

So im wondering if anyone has found launchers, lock screens, etc. To make the g4 practically stock. I dont want to root my phone or anything, and i know i might be asking a lot, but if anyone has ideas, im listening and will be thankful for any pointers.

Well, if you really want that stock feel, you can use the Google Now Launcher, but I would highly recommend Nova Launcher instead with an icon pack that is basically AOSP-styled.

You can use the Google Keyboard as well if you really want to make it feel more like stock. Additionally, you can also use the Google apps in the Play Store over the ones LG has on the G4. You may not be able to disable some of the duplicate apps, but you can hide them.

There's nothing you can do about the settings, notification shade or lock screen, but a new launcher will fix most everything else.

Thanks everyone. Ive decided to go with the google now launcher. And ive found a lock screen thats close to what i had. The rest ill just have to get used to.
