I have the 2013 Moto X and it's stock launcher has a transparent search bar at the top. On the GN launcher, the bar is white. From what I read, to get the "full" Lollipop experience the GN launcher is the one to use. I don't use the cards so I disabled Now.

What are your thoughts between the stock launcher and the Google Now launcher?
Do you stay with stock experience or go the full Lollipop experience?

The main reason to use Google Now Launcher is to have quick access to Google Now by swiping in from the left on the main homescreen. If you never use Google Now, then I wouldn't bother. You could try Nova Launcher instead, which generally goes by the current Google design language, but with much more customizability.

+1 for the Nova Launcher Prime. I have it and it's very customizable.

I have the S6 and switched to the google now launcher. The main thing that attracted me was the always visible google search bar which makes it very quick to find info on the ago. Its also very quick to find an app.

Coming from a Nexus 5, I was thrilled to learn I could get a stock Android experience on whatever my next phone would be. So my G4 gives me exactly that.
