sound problems

I have this problem where all sound comes out of the ear speaker instead of the back speaker. I can't seem to find out what causes it. Sometimes it happens after i use bluetooth and sometimes it happens when the phone sits idle. The only way to fix is to reboot the phone. I have missed important calls due to this so any help would be appreciated. I am using the Stock Pre-Rooted Deodexed Zipaligned Png Optimized EC05 rom and ::Androdena::Galaxy:: "Cynox" Edition V1.0 LITE theme, nothing else. Any ideas?

I think this is the same "bug" that has plagued many since Eclair 2.1 (DI18) days. Occasional ear piece/speaker bugs... Sometimes you go to make a call or recieve a call and can't hear the person on the other end, usually a quick toggle of the Speaker button on the dialer pad will resolve the issue.

I don't believe this is ROM related.

I agree, i dont think this is rom related either as i have dealt with it before. You said to toggle the speaker button on the dial pad. I tried a few different things. I tried to toggle speaker phone button in call which did as it was supposed to but didnt fix the problem. I did the same with mute button in a call no luck there. I used the volume rocker buttons and nothing there either. I noticed also that on the dial pad before i make a call the # button has a speaker with a line through it. I tried to toggle that but just sent the # and nothing else. I looked in the manual and searched here and google and nowhere told me of a way to toggle that button. Is there a way to toggle that button, did I do something wrong? Thank you for helping me even though im pretty new to this.

You can flash the most recent version he has available and then there is an update zip you can flash in your current CWM to update it to CWM 3.1.0.1 (purple)

I'm running this ROM here and its been GREAT:

Slightly Modded EXT4 EC05 Tar Prerooted Deodexed Zipaligned Png Optimized

I've been running for a few months now and no issues. But today I got a message to update the SU binaries. I tried to do it through the program, but it did not work. It says that SU is in /sbin. ( I think)

Is there a way to update this? Do I need to update? What are the repercussions?

You don't need to update SU. I know there is a new version out but I don't see any real reason for you to run right out and attempt updating it. I know there is a thread here about the SU update.
