I'm using the stock text messaging app and textra (to test it out) and noticed that you can not select "all" to delete a bunch of texts in a chain. Anyone else seeing this? So, if I have say 20 texts from one person, and want to delete all but 1 or 2, I have to delete the others individually.

Is this my problem of doing something wrong or system problem?

Nope, you can't do that in the stock messaging app, unfortunately. You can still delete individual messages by long-pressing them in the conversation window, but you can batch-select individual messages for deletion.

Sure you can. Go to your lists of messages, not inside the individual but lists. Long press, and upper right click trash.

I can do what you said, but, it will delete the whole thread. In prior galaxy phones, you could select all and then go back and uncheck the messages you want to keep. Deleting one text at a time is beyond tedious when you want to keep a few messages from one tread, but delete the others in that thread.
