stock text problems

I have handcent setup but every time i get a text i get two notification. went into stock text and turn off all setting but i stil get it two. how do i stop the stock from coming up?

I have the same app. I think I had to do is restart the phone.

Go into your stock messages setting and uncheck the notifications,it should stop it

I would do the following:
-reboot.
-Verify that default text message notifications are set to "off."
-remove the battery. With it out, hold the power button for 30 seconds. I have read in these forums that there may be a residual electrical charge in memory, and that this would clear it.
