Stop connecting to attwifi

Is there any way to stop my AT&T Note 4 from trying to access attwifi hotspots? In my area they are slow, ask for login credentials, and generally cause more annoyances than they are worth.

Can I just disable permanently? How?

What happens if you just Forget Network for attwifi? Does it still try to connect automatically afterwards?

Yes. It will forget it then, but some days later when it finds a new attwifi spot, it tries to connect. Which sucks, cause I could be happily doing something on 4G and then ... NOPE, no more internet because its trying to connect to stupid att wifi.

Go into setting, then WiFi and choose advanced. It's under there.

Its a setting within the wifi. Once youre in the wifi settings, go to the three veritcal dots in the upper right hand corner and go to Advanced. Uncheck the passpoint option.

The "i" word is censored here because it's commonly used by people who are flaming each other. We'd rather people call each other "chap" or "my good man"--makes trolling much more civilized.
