I'm on a trial of VVM. Is there a way to stop it from reading my messages out loud automatically? I would prefer to have to do this manually. Thanks.

Found the answer. I canceled the trial version of the visual voicemail. You can now get the basic Visual Voicemail for free. If you want to be able to just read your message without having your message being read to you, it's an upgrade to the premium visual voicemail so that you can read it as a text message.

In other words it'll cost ya $2.99 a month.

I see Basic Visual Voice Mail among the voice mail product comparisons, but how do you actually get it? The My Verizon account management page seems to only allow you to toggle between the free basic (non-visual) voice mail, and the $2.99/mo premium visual voice mail.

I have several options available in our account for my smartphone. When I look at my husbands page there are I think just two. He's got a dumb phone which explains the difference for us.

On my note 3, i Use the voice mail app on the phone.

I think that's what I'm using. Red icon with a white design in the middle? Mine will only do speech to text with the Premium Visual Voicemail.

Should be this one

Yup that's the one I have. It's also the one that popped up after KitKat with the trial version of the premium visual voicemail. When I canceled the premium it was done through this app.
