Stops working, even when still connected.

I haven't used my laptop in a few days since my charger broke and my ordered one finally came in yesterday. Now, I never had any problems prior to getting it, but for some reason whenever I try to connect to an online game(it happens after a while, too) I get the Yellow Exclamation sign over the Network icon in the notification tray, which of course, means I'm no longer getting any internet.

It says I'm still connected to the tethering programs (as I get no "Connection was closed" and the like) but nothing internet-related works. I use PdaNet and alternate with EasyTether but they all do the same. Whether I restart my Intercept phone or my laptop, I'm back to square one with browsing able to work. I have the registered/Pro version of both. The problem can't be resolved unless ONE of the two is reset, so it's hard to tell if it's my laptop or the phone.

This has NEVER happened before and I've never made any configuration changes to any of the devices. I've always been able to play online games until now. I can browse the internet before it happens, and it will only happen randomly, but will automatically occur when I try to connect to a game. Please assist me.

Edit: I also noticed that EasyTether doesn't said "Direct USB" anymore when connected. It now says "Legacy USB". What's the difference?

try going into the easy tether app and unchecking usb, the recheck. This used to happen on my old Moment. Not sure if it will work. Have you recently updated the apps? If so try uninstalling the updates.

I do the former constantly, but how do I uninstall updates?

in the market go to your apps, click on the app, there might be button for uninstall updates

No such option is available. I System Restored my PC and Factory Reset my phone and still the same problem. I really don't understand what happened. The only real change is my new laptop charger and the location I am using the devices, but where I am at now has a stronger signal.

I wish I could help more, my phone hasn't been stock in so long. I use root applications for this purpose.

Turns out it was my micro-usb cable, the last thing I thought it'd be. It hasn't been doing it ever since I unseated the battery and SD card, however. Thanks for all your help. It really helped narrow down to what the real problem was!
