OK. My wife is getting the Gold Verizon S6 Edge (64GB). She currently has the S5 16gb. Her SD card (32GB) and phone are both maxxed out on storage due to how many pics and videos she takes. We do have auto sync turned on so all her pictures and videos do sync to google plus/drive in the photos app, but she needs to have access to the photos for business purposes (Facebook, social media platforms etc. Short of having to sync her photos to a PC, are there any other ways to ensure she doesn't lose her pics and still have access to them? I am concerned about the space on the Edge and maxing that out eventually. Or am I worried for nothing since all her photos are in the "cloud". I still plan on backing them up to an external HD just in case. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If all her pictures have already been backed up to Google Photos, that should be it. No need to do anything else. Of course having a physical backup is always good, so backing up to an external HD is a great idea.

The beauty of syncing to Google Photos is that you can access the pictures and videos on virtually any device with a native app or as long as they have access to a web browser. And that can save your wife a lot of space, since she doesn't need the actual files on her phone. Problem with the cloud is you do need a constant Internet connection. If she needs the files and she doesn't have WiFi or mobile data, that's it... no can do.

If you want to make sure the files are backed up, go to play.google.com/photos (with her account) and make sure they're there. If they are, that's it.
