Hello all, I am due for an upgrade and would love to try a pixel phone. I've read all the reviews, and know about the processor and such. The one thing that I don't see a lot about is signal strength. I've read that pixels use a Samsung modem (ironic) and Samsungs is a Qualcomm modem. Does anyone here have any experience with weak cell service on the pixels? My job is in an area, where all 3 major carriers, don't have the strongest signal, so I'm a bit nervous about it. I would go with a 26 ultra for my other option. Thanks for any advice.

out of curiosity, what is your current phone and carrier? how has that device performed in the area of your job?

I have a s23 ultra. Used to get great 4g lte, but when they switched to 5G, it drops and slows a bit. Not all the time, but enough to be annoying. Now at&t evidently blocks the setting on the phone, that lets it switch to 4g only. I have no idea why, but they do.

I had the same concerns when switching from my Samsung S23 to a Pixel 10 Pro. I use AT&T as my carrier and I live in the Seattle Washington State area. Fortunately, I was able to test out my new Pixel phone on a 1 week road trip down the California coast and over to Las Vegas Nevada. I visited several national parks on that trip (which had expected spotty cell coverage) and tested the cellular coverage extensively while on the various highways searching for gas stations, streaming music, using Google Maps. I concluded after my trip that my new Pixel phone operated similarly to my Samsung S23. So, I had no loss of capability or function switching to the Pixel 10.

Thanks for all of the replies. I also have AT-T. I actually found a coworker, who's wife has the 10 pro xl. He did a comparison, and the pixel was actually less on the dcmb, then what his s25 plus was. The pixel was steady around 98, 99, while the s25 plus was 101, 102ish. Between that, and you guys not having a problem, I'm pretty confident to try out my first pixel.

I have T-Mobile and I never have issues with reception on my Pixel 9 Pro XL. Excellent phone overalll. 5g and cell reception is strong in my area
I just ordered a new Pixel 10 Pro Xl.I got a good deal. I am on T mobile and I have a a Samsung 24ultra currently on T mobile that works great and I am keeping it. The Pixel 10 Pro Xl has good reviews and I am looking forward to using that. I skipped the Samsung 25 was not impressed with it.
