Stored Email Encryption ??

Hi guys

Are there any good email apps out there that store the emails on the phone encrypted?

I like the password lock feature that maildroid has but I think this is more of an app lock than any encryption.

I'm running lollipop and I know it has good phone encryption but I don't want to turn it on as I think it will slow the phone down but this could be eliminated if I can find an app that can encrypt just the email.

Any recommendations?
