Straight Talk ATT Sim Card ?? Please Help

Over on Howard Forums I was reading about how some people were able to get a subsidized phone on ATT and then during their contract buy an ST ATT compatible SIM and put it in the subsidized phone and it would port their number to ST, but unbelievably, in ATT's system, they were still shown as an ATT customer so were never charged the ETF. And if they put the original ATT SIM back in the phone, it recognized them as still being on contract at the point in which they ported their number to ST.

So this may help to explain why ST can't issue any more ATT compatible SIMs. Not ST's screw-up; it's ATT's screw-up but I can see why they pulled the plug on those SIMs.

If the criterion is the device being active on the network, I wonder if the same trick would work with a SIM from a per-minute GO PHONE.

I wonder, but not enough to risk the ETF. :D :D

Swiper must be one of the few with no net10 problems--all I every see is issues with data speed. I have straight talk and have no issues. My husband has net 10 and we have yet to get good data speeds for him.

Do they do credit card orders over the phone and will they ship?

I doubt it. I haven't seen them on walmart's website and you probably don't want to give your credit card number to the guy working electronics at the walmart I was at.

And they are $59 because it includes the first month.

Re: ST ATT Standard Sim for nexus 4? Please Help

Did you have the regular Sims "Straight Talk Sims" and cut it down to Micro? I'm trying to take a regular Straight talk Sims card and cut it to micro to go in a Galaxy S3 or S4 GSM factory unlocked will this work?

Yeah you can get a standard SIM and cut it down. That's what I did. I'm still not sure what network you are using. AT&T? T-Mobile?

I had a Samsung Galaxy S2 with standard SIM card. Took it and found a template online. Taped it down, traced for the Micro SIM, cut and then had to trim a little more and sand the edges with a nail file. It fit right into the micro SIM tray in the Nexus 4. Boom, done!

Hi,

Is better if you buy a micro-SIM cutter and in a second you will have a micro-SIM card perfectly cut. Those cutters are available in many online stores.

Regards

Just to update everyone who isn't already aware, ST has resumed selling ATT micro Sim cards, which are compatible with LTE networks.
