Straight talk nightmare

Let me start this by saying I love the Nexus 4. I do however have a huge issue with Straight Talk. First when I went to activate my telephone online with the sim card I got booted out and was unable to port my number, I tried sending them an email to see if I could still manage to port the number. The response was essentially yes but call us. So once I called them after 10 transfers I was told oh no you would need to buy another sim card. Which at that point were no longer available in stores. Okay - so I live with the new number- I have dealt with worse. Phone works good--no issues to speak of with data. Where I am located I can only get data on the ATT network so that leaves me Straight Talk or Net10 - same company really. So my nightmare gets worse once I added my husbands phone. I was able to port the number with no issue--almost instantly. But with the apn settings his data stunk. So back on the phone-another 10 transfers and the rep did his majic - data was working fine. He is a happy camper. Then I go online to make sure all the balances are okay. Well no --not exactly. I can not view the balance or service end date on his plan. Back on the phone. This time it only took about 5 transfers. I explain the problem and get asked my email address and get my password emailed to me. After 5 attempts at explaining I can get in but not view the end date I am told to just call 611. No I need to do this online-it is my husbands phone and I do all the bills. I need to pay online. I again get told --deal with it-call 611. At this point I asked for a supervisor. I explained the problem and he attempted to fix it--no success. So I am told he will research it and call me back. The next day I get an email--May 2 by the way- that I would receive a sim card by fedex. okay-I thought they weren't available anymore. At the same time we discover when we are on vacation the my husbands phone has been deactivated. No phone call from the supervisor either. So I finally get the new sim card and call them.. Tell them that the original ported phone number was deactivated and I received a new sim card with no explanation. I requested that they reactivate the original ported phone number with the new sim. Surprise surprise --they have an issue doing that and I get a new phone number assigned. I now await another sim card to attempt to keep my husbands original number.. Let's see what happens next. At this point if they can't get it right there may be a couple of N4's going up for sale. Straight talk customer service--forget it it does not exist. Oh and did I mention on all these calls I have to verify my fathers middle name? All of a sudden tonite it does not match. Wonder who changed that!

Ok, so first question: If you're having problems with Straight Talk, why would you now be contemplating the return of a pentaband phone? How does *that* solve anything?

Second question: Have you tried going higher up the food chain yet? See if perhaps you can get to a corporate office person or some other representative? I have no idea if this is physically possible for you, so I'm merely asking.

I'm sure there are many stories like this. You think this place can afford to hire MIT graduates? Just like I don't expect my service at Mcdonalds to be stellar unless of course I'm in another country(had some burgers in Korea that looked like the commercials). I couldn't figure out the reasoning behind sending a new sim card to be able to see information on the web. That makes no sense at all. As for my experience with Straight talk, I activated my phone before going to bed, ported my Sprint phone number with all appropriate info and passwords, when I awoke in the morning I rebooted the phone and everything worked just fine.

Also, this should be in the Straight talk carriers threads. It's not the phones fault.
