I have been testing out a oneplus 3T with AT&T based GSM service. Unfortunately I don't get the greatest coverage. I swapped my verizon based straight talk SIM. I was able to get text and voice service working. The network shows that I am connecting via CDMA eHRPD and shows 3G/2G connections. I do not get an IP address. Apps believe they there is a connection but are not able to communicate. Also the network is showing 31000 for me.

I am aware that I likely won't get the 4G LTE due to lack of the Verizon band 13 and expect that Straight talk shares this. The CDMA based data is not my main connection, but I do wish to have some service between AT&T based towers.

You're asking a mixed question. Are you trying to get the phone working on Verizon or on AT&T? (If Verizon is using Band 13 for LTE where you are, you won't get a 3T to do LTE on Verizon towers. Verizon is also licenses for Bands 2 and 4, and the 3T will operate on them. AT&T usually uses Band 17, and the 3T should be operating on that [with an AT&T SIM - and assuming that the phone is SIM-unlocked].)

I have it working on AT&T just have very little service here.

I am aware that 4G LTE won't work. This is Straight Talk using Verizon towers. I am able to connect with 2G/3G but it never gets an IP address. I was hoping that I could still have data even if the 4G LTE does not work but something must not be configured properly.
