Strange issue with screen not responding

Earlier today I was just messing around on my phone when out of no where it decided to restart. When it returned to the screen where I type in my pin, I tried typing in the numbers but the screen wouldn't respond. I also noticed my background didn't load and the message "No Service" was appearing, even though the icon said I had 3G with 2-3 bars. When the screen timed out I tried pressing the power button to awaken it but wouldn't wake up and stayed black. I noticed throughout this ordeal, the phone was hotter than usual. I pulled the battery a few times and restarted the phone but encountered the same issue. Interestingly, I did a soft factory reset and voila, everything worked again! This issue was strange to say the least. I'll monitor things for a few days, hopefully all stays well.

Mine just started acting up out of the blue a little bit ago, the Launcher stop responding so I had to force close it, then after it loaded back up the screen stopped resonding and I had to pull the battery, after powering it back on my battery went from 60% charged to 4% charged, pulled the battery agian and the charge level went back up to 60%. I think I forgot to wipe something when I went back to stock
