Hey guys and gals,

I recently noticed my Keyboard will not open when attempting to type in the 'body' field of an webpage(gmail, facebook, ymail, etc). It opens and functions correctly when clicking in the 'To' field or 'subject' field. This happens regardless of the keyboard used(Swiftkey is my standard, but the default keyboard does the same thing). This happens in both Dolphin and the standard internet browser. I have cleared the cache of the Swiftkey app, uninstall/reinstalled swiftkey, after reinstall it still does not work correctly. It doesnt appear to Swiftkey, or dolphin as the same issue exists in the default android apps also. I have preformed battery pulls to no avail. Has anyone else experienced anything similar and found a fix, or can direct me... thanks for any assistance...

I have had the problem; running SwiftKey also. I have never found a fix, it just goes away seemingly at random. Happens to me in the phone dialer and native HTC messaging app as well...

Very annoying when you need to contact someone and can't text or call!

It sounds like a dirty screen. I know it seems incredible, your screen looks fine, right? It's just cleaning the screen so what can it hurt? Grime gets on the screen all kinds of ways and some times the thinnest layer of nothing can cause you problems like this. Your ear or face may have left something on the screen near the top and if you touch it near the top it's not an issue. The top is usually where the "To:" field is, but when you try to make selections near the bottom or in the middle of the screen it can't recognize them because it's seeing input from two very different areas of the screen. This may also explain Dan's intermittent issue. Sometimes his screen is clean and sometimes it's not. And believe it or not it takes very little film of any kind to cause issues with these supper sensitive digitizers. Clean the screen and see if that helps.
