Strange phenomenon with TB vs. Office phone

Lately I have been having bad reception with my office phone. I use a plantronics c70 wireless headset (great unit with phone lifter). Lots of static and periodic cutting out. Clients would ask me to repeat what I said or would hear loud clicking on the office phone. I ordered a new replacement headset ($116), thinking my 4 or 5 year old headset had gone bad.

Will got replacement and still having issues. I keep my TB in a charging stand next to my C70 base unit.
Looks like the TB is causing some sort of electronic disturbance. I moved the TB and now all is good.

Anyone else have an issue where the TB has been causing some type of interference?

Cell phone interference with non-shielded microphones is something I deal with all the time in the video conferencing world. Do you get static on your speakers, or only the far end through your mic?

Only through mic, I dont use speaker phone. Wireless headset lets me walk around office when on con call. Sometimes pacing helps me think (like a lion in the zoo).

Yep, classic cell phone interference then. Just try moving the TB dock away from the base and the problem should go away.

If the Bluetooth or wifi from the tb is on that could be the actual cause. If I'm in the tb connected to wifi sometimes I have to turn off wifi.

I noticed 4G makes noise through my computer speakers at work. AT&T does this when on EDGE network and my old Nextel would do it, very loud on Nextel. I always knew before a text message arrived. Seems the 4G network is at the right frequency to vibrate the speakers. Does not happen on 3G for me. Wifi is fine.

Exactly. Routine. It is this RF radio signal emission that folks are trying to attribute to causing Cancer.
