Strange WiFi issue with LMY48M

I've had 5 GHz issues with my Nexus 6 since I first got it. For some reason it will connect, but there is no throughput. I solved this by only connecting to 2.4. Now with LMY48M, when I select WiFi frequency band and 2.4 GHz only, it does the opposite. It will only connect to 5 GHz. So bizarre. I've even done a complete restore.

What is your router your using?

Most of prob is password encryption (WPA/WPA2 etc AES/TPSK) then wireless channel.

same thing for me. cannot connect to any wifi, security or not after upgrading to LMY48M

does rebooting the phone temporarily fix it?

I believe it does. If doesn't help try clean cache partition if still same issue than reset phone.

I´m having the same problem. After a few hours the phone gets disconnected from any WiFi and dont connect anymore trough WiFi. Only after rebooting it.

I was wondering if it was just me. Same problem, here. Also getting brownish banding in photos since the update, aswell.

What is your router your using?

Linksys. I can't fathom how that could make it do the opposite. Even aafter 2 restores.

So password encryption is making it do the opposite of what it is instructed to do? How's that?
