Streaming music over Bluetooth on Pixel 6

I've been having problems when playing music from Amazon Music and YouTube Music via Bluetooth where the music stops playing and I have to go into the app and push play. It plays for varying amounts of time and then randomly stops playing. The app isn't crashing either.

I've checked my settings in both the app and phone.

Has anyone experienced this before? For those that have, any suggestions?

Have you been able to install the update out of the box?

I read in the update contents there was a fix for streaming music over Bluetooth for the pixel 6 series.

I honestly do not remember receiving an update out of the box. When I've checked for updates today, it has shown no updates available and it says the last update was November 5.

If it is not battery saver mode, does any other family members use your account. Cause for YouTube music if you don't pay to stream on more than 1 device at a time and someone else streams music at the same time it will cause the app to pause.

I am wondering if it could be that. I am paying for the family plan which is supposed to allow for streaming across multiple devices.

This has been happening even when my entire family is in the car with me and only my phone is streaming.

Maybe I'll try and download the playlist and see if that makes a difference.

I have had this happen with my airpods about 3 times as well. I have a p6 pro with Nov security update. It happened when I was streaming from Google podcasts.

Definitively a strange issue. I've been using the Pixel 6 Pro with the free Pixel Buds a-series I got for a week now, I listen to music or podcasts while walking my dog each night. Never had an issue with the music stopping. Only thing is if your network connection is weak maybe it's not buffering the song/next song? All that comes to mind.

It's worth mentioning that anyone who is having similar issues should send feedback to Google through the system settings Help & Feedback option. If this is an Android 12 or Pixel 6 bug, the more they hear about it, the more likely they'll push a fix in an upcoming update.
