I'm soo used to Pandora for music but I figured I'd try Spotify as well. The s8's app manager says that it uses more ram and, storage granted I'm very anal about my phone and whatnot. What does everyone here prefer? Thank you. Is there any disadvantages or advantages of using one service over the other? I'm using the free versions of both services. Thank you !

I think that's going to be an issue with the S8 phones. I get the message of high RAM usage from Google music and so has my brother. I think its Samsung's battery management set up.

I'm sorry I mean don't get me wrong I wasn't trying to say that I was getting memory alerts or anything on my phone I'm just very uptight and anal about keeping my phone completely clean can streamline. Never unless I have the basic useful apps on my phone nothing is overly done. I just noticed that Pandora uses 44 Megs of storage and Spotify uses 80 Megs of storage and the RAM usage on Spotify is a tad bit higher than on Pandora. However, I also have noticed that the music playback quality of Pandora for the bass of my rock music seems to be a little bit better than Spotify.

I wouldn't really worry about the storage or RAM usage. I personally use Google Play Music. Been with them since beta and I've had no complaints.

First of all both have settings to up the music quality.

I prefer Spotify personally due to music library and features playlist.

True, both have the option, maybe I'm just being too weird about it...

You don't have any issues with the music playback all? When I used to use play music, I always experienced songs skipping, and not advancing to the next track or receiving an error message which just got annoying. I'm willing to try it again however...

Been using Google Play Music since beta as well. I used to have that problem in the early days when using Chromecast, but no problems with skipping and not playing tracks within the last couple years.

Using google play music atm because of the 3 free month usually use spotify since i can listen on my pc and change songs with my phone + i largely prefer spotify's UI both have about the same song quality on their highest settings imo though.

Haven't used spotify yet on my s8+ so can't say if i had bugs but using gplay so far nothing out of the ordinary.

So basically I just try Google play music Rihanna my essay and at the gym within a few minutes unfortunately, I had playback everywhere she's quite a few times. Force me to give up Google Play Music and I force myself into Spotify. Testing and at once again on my S8. So far so good you're good.

The one thing that I always find frustrating with Google Play Music is that when I'm at the gym or wherever I am enjoying my music with Play Music, when I'm trying to skip songs or change artists, I very often receive a playback error message. Once or twice i can "deal with it" but last night for example at the gym was extremely frustrating and I even trying shutting Play Music down, restarting the application, and it still gave me quite a few playback error messages. I finally just gave up finally and started up Spotify. Bletter quality streaming music, MUCH smoother/responsive UI, and it's still free. So far, I've got no complaints.
